Just north and west of Estate Cottages on Heathfield Road, this village-edge site sits in the heart of the East Sussex Weald, midway between Lewes and Heathfield. Nine new homes are planned, with a mix of one, two and three-bedroom houses and a bungalow, alongside a small flexible office building for local businesses and a new children's play area for the village.

The homes are laid out in a relaxed, rural way that suits Halland's character, with the play area at the edge of the site as a green space for everyone. Existing trees and hedgerows are kept and added to with new planting, softening views towards the nearby listed Hartfield Farmhouse. Traffic calming on Heathfield Road will also help slow cars coming into Halland.

Halland sits on the A22 with quick links to Uckfield, Lewes and the coast at Eastbourne and Brighton. The village has a well-loved pub, a farm shop and village hall, with Bentley Wildfowl and Motor Museum on the doorstep and the South Downs National Park a short drive away. Uckfield station offers services to London Bridge in just over an hour.
